Engine Room is proud to launch our first piece of original entertainment: “Lowering Awareness”, a short comedy film written by Mark Humphries (ABC2’s The Roast, SBS2’s The Feed) and our director and lead creative Damien Cassar.
A group of passionate yet incompetent do gooders, concerned with the dangerously high level of awareness of things we don’t need to know about, launch a campaign to “lower awareness”. After several failed attempts, their campaign hits a dangerous crossroads as it begins to heighten awareness of the very thing it was designed to lower.
The film recently screened at the LA Comedy Festival and made the front page of Funny or Die. Our director Damien Cassar also won Best Direction of an Online Comedy Project at the 2017 Australian Directors Guild Awards.
